Monet Bailey-Ngatai

Monet graduated from South Seas Film School in 2022, specialising in Production Management. She began her career as a Production Coordinator at RBA Management before leaving to  co-create YouTube mini-series Takahoa with her partner Jess Sewell under their production company, Overwhelmed Productions.

Monet and Jess founded Overwhelmed Productions as a collaborative space for emerging creatives, with a focus on telling relatable Aotearoa stories that are led by cultural and queer perspectives. Monet has a particular passion for rangatahi-led stories, especially those centered around relationships.
